OnePlus Announces Free Google Stadia Bundles; mentions North 2 by mistake

Stadia has not been the massive success that Google was hopeful when it launched the gaming platform in 2019. But it gives up without a fight, and today a partnership was announced with OnePlus.

Get a free Stadia Premiere Edition bundle with your OnePlus phone

Customers in the UK, Germany and France who buy a new OnePlus North, OnePlus 8T, Oneplus 8 Pro, OnePlus 9 or Oneplus 9 Official’s pro OnePlus website can claim a free Stadia Premiere Edition bundle. The package typically sells for £ 90 / € 100 and includes a Stadia controller and Google Chromecast Ultra. However, there is no Stadia subscription included, so customers will have to pay for it themselves.

To claim the Stadia pack, OnePlus will send an email to German and French customers 15 days after purchase with a code that can be redeemed in the Google Store. In the UK, buyers will have to wait 30 days.

Overall, this seems like a decent promotion considering the cheapest qualifying device – the OnePlus North – is currently being sold by the company for just £ 329 and € 369, down from its original price of £ 379 / € 399.

Speaking of the North, OnePlus accidentally slipped (via Android Police) during the Stadia promotion announcement and listed the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 as one of the eligible smartphones, suggesting that a release might not be far off.
