OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Limited Edition is expected to hit stores soon if the rumors circulating online prove to be true. The Chinese smartphone maker has a reputation for introducing limited edition phones. For example, the company has already released the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition, and OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition.
The popular smartphone brand recently drew attention to the Nord 2 which has exploded several times. Last month, even a OnePlus Nord 2 Warp Charger exploded after being plugged into an outlet to charge the phone. Technicians at OnePlus Care Center attributed the incident to a fluctuating voltage, and the company even offered a replacement for the user. OnePlus may be trying to change the ramshackle reputation of the Nord 2 by introducing the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition.

Falcon eyed people at XDA Developers and Oxygen update found various bits of information from the APK teardown. Additionally, the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone recently received a new update, suggesting that the Pac-Man version of the phone is imminent. Along with many other details, the posts discovered a new lock screen with a PAC-Man theme in the OnePlus Launcher (v5.2.3.4). Interestingly, the yellow text in the new lock screen is the same color as the main character in the game.
Other than that, the lock screen appears to have ghost eyes from the Pac-Man video game. Additionally, the publications found a new XML configuration file called “default_workspace_5x5_pacman.xml”. As if that weren’t enough, they found out that OnePlus added the PAC-MAN 256 – Endless Maze game to a folder named OnePlus, on the default home screen. Apart from that, there is a fingerprint animation based on the PAC-MAN game.

Additionally, various references to the game were discovered in the Gallery app. These include a personalized sticker after a specific charging period. Noted tipster Max Jambor says the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition smartphone is expected to launch soon. However, the leaker did not disclose an exact launch schedule for the smartphone. The company is still a mom to the aforementioned Pac-Man Nord Edition smartphone. The phone may go official during the holiday season.

The Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display that offers Full HD + resolution. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone houses a 50MP triple camera setup on the back. In addition, it has a 32 MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone gets its power from a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. It packs a Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood and runs Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11.3 on top. However, the Pac-Man edition is likely to come with a Snapdragon 778G SoC.
