OnePlus recently unveiled its current flagship phone, the OnePlus 10 Pro. Although the majority of smartphone buyers can’t get it yet, it looks like another phone is coming soon and might be more easily accessible.
Jambor had nothing to add on the Nord CE 2 regarding specs and design. His tweet suggests that the camera module could borrow a lot from the OnePlus 9 series, which would make sense.
It would be a follow-up to last year’s OnePlus Nord CE (the “CE” stands for “Core Edition”). The Nord CE used the original OnePlus Nord as a starting point and stripped out some features and specs to bring the price down a bit. Theoretically, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 would do the same using the OnePlus Nord 2 as its base.
Interestingly, Jambor doesn’t think the phone would be called the OnePlus Nord 2 CE. That would definitely make more sense, but we’ll follow what Jambor says for now. Don’t be surprised, though, if the phone lands with the most logical title.
